Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada, Inc. (MMSCAN) is the exclusive Canadian sales, marketing and distribution subsidiary of one of the world’s largest automakers. MMSCAN markets a full line of Mitsubishi Motors' brand passenger cars and sport utility vehicles — consisting of eight distinctive models covering a broad market range. Mitsubishi is new to Canada — arriving just a few short years ago, in 2002. Despite its recent entry into the Canadian market, Mitsubishi Motors has been around a long time and is one of the fastest growing Japanese automakers in North America. With its head office located in Mississauga, Ontario, MMSCAN is an agile, streamlined organization with a dedicated staff committed to growing the Mitsubishi brand in the Canadian market. Throughout the country, the number of dealers has gone from 18 to 57 over the past three years. To develop its presence in the Canadian market, Mitsubishi plans on increasing this number to 65 by next year and to 90 over the next three years. With the continuous sales growth in Canada and the anticipated arrival of many new products, Mitsubishi is positioned well to continue on the road to success. Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) is a multinational manufacturer and distributor of automobiles, buses, parts and powertrains. It began as the motor vehicle division of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd., with the production of the first Mitsubishi automobile in 1917. In 1970 MMC became an independent entity that is now a publicly traded company based in Tokyo, Japan. MMC began selling its vehicles and powertrains in the United States in the 1970s under the Chrysler brand. Then in 1981 MMC struck out on its own and began creating the organization that has evolved into Mitsubishi Motors North America. In 2002, the Mitsubishi brand also expanded into Canada. In 2003, it moved south into Mexico. And with a renewed commitment to Puerto Rico, Mitsubishi Motors is extending its reach and broadening its appeal throughout the entire North American market. As of September 1, 2005, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation in Japan granted its Canadian operations greater independence. Now the division no longer depends on its American counterpart and reports directly to the head office in Tokyo, Japan. At Mitsubishi, vehicle quality, reliability and durability are backed by the best and most comprehensive warranties in the market today, a 5-year or 100,000 kilometer bumper-to-bumper in addition to a 10-year or 160,000 kilometer limited powertrain warranty. This simply proves the confidence Mitsubishi has in its products, as well as their intention of being part of the Canadian landscape for years to come. 10-year/160,000 km — Powertrain Limited Warranty The powertrain is the heart of every vehicle, so Mitsubishi does everything it can to make sure it never skips a beat. That includes protecting it with a warranty that will last long after the new-car smell fades. The 10-year 160,000 km coverage is bold, and backed by more than 80 years of car-building expertise. 5-year/100,000 km — New Vehicle Limited Warranty The Mitsubishi model lineup is a blend of eye-catching style and adrenalin-pumping performance. There are thousands of parts that go into these performance vehicles, and Mitsubishi backs virtually everything for 5 years or 100,000 kilometres, whichever comes first. 5-year/Unlimited km Roadside Assistance From flat tires and breakdowns in stormy weather to more serious situations, Mitsubishi Roadside Assistance stands ready 24 hours-a-day, 365 days-a-year to provide emergency services, including free towing, battery boosts, tire service, fuel and fluid delivery and more. Mitsubishi provides a unique blend of spirited performance, inspired design, and durability, with cars built for those uncompromising souls seeking a driving experience that's all too rare in today's world. For those confident individuals who refuse to settle and who are searching for a car so responsive it goes beyond transportation to become an extension of themselves, Mitsubishi cars actually feel different from the first time you turn the key and come with a built-in confidence that continues year after year, mile after mile.
