Overview

Benton Resources Corp. is a mineral exploration company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol BTC. Benton's aggressive and experienced management team is focused on base and precious group metal exploration. The Company's diverse property portfolio includes Canadian projects which are highly prospective for Gold, Uranium, Platinum, Palladium, Nickel and Copper.

Deloro Property — Gold

In October 2009, Benton Resources entered into an Option Agreement with Deloro Mining and Smelting to option 100% interest in two mining patents and one mining claim located 5 km southeast of the city if Timmins along the prolific Dome-Aunor-Delnite mine trend. The property is situated 900 meters west and on strike of the 930,000 ounce past producing Delnite Mine and is host to at least three separate bands of quartz-ankerite veining hosted within a package of strong carbonate altered and sheared mafic volcanic rocks containing pyrite and trace chalcopyrite.

Records indicate that the property has not been worked since the late 1930’s and there is no record of any diamond drilling on the claims. Known historic work includes the sinking of a 125 foot shaft on the south quartz vein system and trenching and pitting of quartz veins on the south and Hennessey (central) vein systems. Reports dated 1913 (Dobbs) and 1939 (B.S.W. Buffam) report grab samples from the south zone returning up to 0.75 ounces per ton (opt) gold (Au) over an average thickness of 4 feet from the south zone and values of up to 2.3 opt Au from the Hennessey zone. A third quartz vein system hosted within a strong carbonate altered shear zone cuts through the northern part of the property and is believed to represent the west extension of the Aunor-Delnite mine trend. Although there is no recorded work on this zone within the claims, a hole drilled immediately east of the east claim boundary of ME43 returned 0.085 opt Au over 40 feet including 0.26 opt Au over 5 feet and 0.16 opt Au over 5 feet (drill hole #5, Jasper Porcupine Mines, 1939).

Benton’s Phase I drill program intersected 8.57gpt Au over 3.5 metres including 11.86 gpt over 2.5 metres from hole D09-12, the western most and deepest hole drilled to date. The drill program has focused on drilling stratigraphic holes on 50 metre spaced lines, starting at the east property boundary (L508E) and working westwards, testing for mineralized structures along the south vein horizon. Of particular interest is the fact that the best results received have come from the most westerly and deepest hole (D09-12) drilled to date (L506+00E at approximately 100 metres below surface). Gold mineralization occurs within a distinct quartz breccia hosted within a zone of heavy pyrite and strong sericite altered mafic volcanic rocks.

Shining Tree Joint Venture — Gold, Shining Tree, ON

Golden Harp and Benton Resources Corp. have a Joint Venture Agreement whichs grants Benton the option to earn a 60% interest in Block A of Golden Harp’s 100%-owned 145 sq. km Copper Hill Property. The claims included under the Block A option agreement cover several historic gold occurrences including the Cook Zone and the newly discovered MC Zone. The terms of the agreement call for Benton to expend $2 million in work commitments, make $75,000 in cash payments and issue 550,000 common shares; payable over three years. The property is located approximately 100 km south of Timmins, Ontario, along Highway 560 between Shining Tree and Gowganda, within the southern Abitibi Greenstone belt, along what is believed by many to represent the western extension of the prolific Kirkland Lake - Larder Lake break.

The Cook Zone, first discovered in the 1930’s, is hosted within silicified and carbonate altered mafic and ultramafic volcanic rocks that have been intruded by altered felsic porphyry dykes. The zone has been subject to several historic diamond drilling campaigns which have intersected significant gold mineralization from several sub-parallel zones. Some of the better down hole drill intersections include 54.2 gpt Au over 4.0m and 5.71 gpt Au over 4.6m drilled in 1952 by Bessey Mining Syndicate; 5.4 gpt Au over 7.6m drilled in 1953 by Tenendo Mining and 10.6 gpt Au over 3.1m drilled by Orcana in the 1980’s; and 2.7 gpt Au over 13m drilled by KRL Resources in 1995. The MC Zone, discovered by Golden Harp in 2008, located 1.3 km east southeast of the Cook Zone, is hosted in a thick package of pyritic, green carbonate, albite and hematite altered ultramafic and mafic volcanic rocks.

Kingurutik Lake Project — Nickel, Labrador

The Kingurutik Lake project is located 60km north of the world class Voisey’s Bay nickel-copper-cobalt deposit and was restricted from mineral exploration by Inuit land claims prior to staking by Benton. The property hosts several large gossans mapped by the government in 2000 and past work in the area had identified high-grade copper and nickel with grades up to 6.8% Cu and 1.7% Ni. Benton and Teck entered into a Participation Agreement whereby Benton and Teck formed the Kingurutik Lake Project by amalgamating and jointly exploring their land position in Labrador. The project originally consisted of 488 claim units held by Benton and 266 claim units held by Teck. Benton and Teck have completed an initial airborne electromagnetic and magnetic survey to help identify potential economic grades of nickel and copper. A field program in mid-June 2007 identified several gossanous areas with elevated Ni-Cu-Co values coincident with large conductive zones. Benton management is excited to have joined forces with Teck on this project and look forward to the search for a major ore body.

The specific terms of the Agreement are as follows:
• Benton and Teck will contribute their respective properties and will each own an 50% interest in the Project.
• Teck completed a $700,000 financing into Benton priced at $0.70 per share.
• Benton funded the initial $600,000 in exploration.

The property will be drilled during the summer season 2010.

Saganaga Project — Gold, Northwestern Ontario

Possibly the most significant recent gold discovery in the Shebandowan Greenstone Belt, the 100% Benton owned Saganaga property is located approximately 120km west of the city of Thunder Bay, Ontario. The property hosts several gold showings and has delivered favourable historic gold results, including a drill hole that intersected 31gpt gold over 5.9m in the Powell zone. Past work on the Starr zone returned up to 5.3gpt gold across 36.7m in channel samples. Trenching by Benton in 2006 returned assays up to 17.2gpt over 7m. Several new areas of gold mineralization have also been identified over a strike length of more than 1000m. Assays of 17gpt over 2.0m, 6.5gpt over 5m and 24gpt over 1.0m have been obtained from these new areas. 2006 drilling graded as high as 5gpt Au over 20m. Most recently, a 20 hole, 2,709m drill program was completed on the Saganaga Property. 12 holes tested the historical Powell vein of which 8 holes intersected significant gold values. 2 holes tested the Starr zone mineralization below where Teck Cominco Ltd intersected 20.0m grading 5.36gpt gold in 2006. Both holes intersected significant gold mineralization. Hole SAG09-13 cut 20.5m grading 3.0gpt Au including 4.0m grading 7.3gpt Au and a second lower zone grading 8.26gpt Au over 1.0m. Holes SAG09-15 and 16 were drilled in the North Starr area where significant gold assays were also encountered such as 3.6gpt Au over 4.3m including 2m grading 7.2gpt Au in SAG09-16. Another large drill program will commence during the 2010 field season.

South Sibley and Onion Lake Projects — Northwestern Ontario

Benton Resources owns two significant land packages adjacent to the recent high-grade discovery by Magma Metals Ltd. for which they were awarded the "Discovery of the Year Award," by the Northwestern Ontario Prospectors Association. Highlights of Magma’s discovery include: 61.7m of 5.61g/t Pt + Pd.

Benton’s South Sibley project is located immediately east of Magma Metals’ discovery. Benton worked this ground extensively from 2006 to 2008 performing various ground and airborne geophysical surveys, prospecting, linecutting and trenching. highlights include a surface sample of 1.01% U3O8. The hard work carried out on this property resulted in a partnership between Benton and Rio Tinto, who now operate Benton’s project under a joint venture option agreement.

Benton’s Onion Lake Project was acquired by staking a large land position to the west of Magma Metals’ ground and is now a joint venture project with Quetico Resources Ltd. Quetico can earn a 30% interest by spending $700,000 and paying Benton $95,000 cash within 24 months. After the initial earn-in, Quetico can earn an additional 30% interest by spending a further $1.6 million in exploration during the third and fourth year with the right to earn an additional 10% by spending a further $1.5 million in exploration within eighteen months of the fourth anniversary. Both Rio Tinto and Quetico Resources are actively exploring both of Benton’s projects.
