Focus Graphite Inc. is an emerging mid-tier junior mining company, a technology solution supplier and a business innovator. It is the owner of the highest-grade (16%) technology graphite resources in the world. The company’s goal is to assume a dominant industry leadership position by becoming the lowest-cost producer of technology-grade graphite in the world. As a technology-orientated enterprise with a view to building long-term, sustainable shareholder value, Focus Graphite is invested in the development of graphene applications and patents through Grafoid Inc.

Focus Graphite Inc. holds 100% ownership of its Lac Knife, Quebec, 16% grade large and medium flake crystalline graphite.

The property, some 35 kilometers south of Fermont, Quebec, is at the pre-development stage with infrastructure, surface mining and primary processing (95%-97% grade) facility construction activities planned for completion by 2013. A secondary enrichment and refining facility capable of producing technology-grade, 99.9% graphite is scheduled for commissioning in 2014. In May, 2012, Focus Graphite signed a licensing and joint venture agreement with Hydro-Quebec’s leading research institute — I'Institut de recherche d'Hydro-Québec (“IREQ”), enabling the company to develop a graphite purification facility and a graphite anode production facility for lithium-ion batteries. The intention of this agreement is to transform first-production graphite sourced from the Lac Knife high-grade deposit to battery-grade material. Focus Graphite's Lac Knife graphite property has a proven history. Nearly developed in the early 2000’s in a joint venture between Graftech International and Ballard Power Systems, previous studies were recast to NI 43-101 standards and announced in December 2011. The Lac Knife property is unique in the world because of its cost-mitigating, high concentration of large, medium and small flake graphite destined to meet rising global demand from both industrial and high technology end users. Grading at 16%, Focus Graphite anticipates producing the lowest-cost technology graphite in the world. When complete, Lac Knife will produce up to 25,000 tons per year with a 40-year, extendable mine life. Environmental permitting applications have been filed with the Quebec government and the company has entered into pre-financing discussions. Additionally, technical discussions with at least six potential long-term graphite buyers have been underway since mid-2011. As the company's first-to-production, first-to-market project, Lac Knife provides Focus Graphite Inc. and its stakeholders s with a foundation for growth, expansion, re-investment and a potentially robust long-term return on investment. Focus Graphite's NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate of 8.1 million tons, published in December 2011, validated the company's world-leading technology graphite deposit. With all zones open in all directions and at depth, the results of the company's 7,000-meter expansion, infill and new exploration drilling programs are due to be released by the end of 2012.

In August 2010, Focus signed an option agreement to acquire a 50% interest from SOQUEM, a subsidiary of the Société Générale de Financement du Québec (“SGF”). The results of a 2012 summer drilling program were to be incorporated into an NI 43-101 resource estimate by late 2012 or early 2013. Under the terms of their agreement, Focus can acquire a 50% interest in the property by incurring exploration expenditures of $3 million over five years. Focus has already spent $2.6 million and may opt to become Kwyjibo’s operator late 2012.

In September 2011, the company incorporated Grafoid Inc., a high technology company which invests in, manages, and develops, markets for processes that produce economically scalable, pure bilayer and trilayer graphene. Focus Graphite Inc. holds a 40% stake in Grafoid. Since inception, Grafoid has signed an MOU with Rutgers University AMIPP Advanced Polymer Center, to jointly develop graphene technology applications. As a result of its advancements, and applying principles from its own technologies, it is now able to transform any graphite source (not just high-grade material) into graphene. Grafoid is currently working on some 25 diverse technology projects.
