About Northern Superior Resources Inc.

Northern Superior Resources Inc. is a Canadian junior exploration company, trading on the TSX-V under the symbol SUP. The Company explores for gold on the Canadian Shield, specifically in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec. Northern Superior focuses its exploration here as this region represents one of the largest, under-explored Archean cratons in the world!

Although most of Canada’s mineral wealth is derived from this vast region, that wealth is extracted from much less than 10% of this area, and that extraction has occurred primarily from areas of exposed bedrock. The remaining 90% is poorly explored as it is covered in overburden. If one can effectively use this overburden as an exploration medium . . . the Company believes that there is much more mineral wealth to be discovered in this region through the discovery of new mineral deposits!

The Company has demonstrated that it has the expertise and the data bases to make such discoveries. The Ti-pa-haa-kaa-ning gold property of Northwestern Ontario represents one such example, where the company has already discovered a new greenstone belt and defined one of North America’s largest gold grain-in-till dispersal aprons!

Ti-pa-haa-kaa-ning (TPK) Gold Property

The Property

The property is located approximately 470 km northeast of Thunder Bay and 190 km northeast of Pickle Lake, Ontario. The property is located in the Traditional Area of the First Nations Community of Neskantaga, which is situated about 30 km southwest of the Property on the southwest corner of Attawapiskat Lake. The property currently consists of 188 claims covering an area of 40,368 hectares. The TPK gold property is currently a 50- 50 joint venture between Northern Superior and Lake Shore Gold Corp.

Exploration Highlights

  • Defined a large and unique gold grain-in-till dispersal apron with a potential fertile strike length of at least six kilometers, possibly as long as 10 km from till samples collected in 2007 and 2008.
  • Identified several key structures that host, or have the potential to host, gold mineralization and considered as the source of gold grains for the gold grain-in-till dispersal apron (diamond drilling program in 2008).
  • Developed an understanding of the geological system associated with the newly discovered greenstone belt.
  • Signed an Early Economic Benefits Agreement with Neskantaga First Nation Company in July of 2008.
  • Completed construction of drill access trails and field camp for 2010 program.
  • Reverse circulation drill program completed.
  • Northern Superior signs Letter of Intent with Lake Shore Gold to gain 100% control of the Property.
  • Diamond drill program planned to start 2nd quarter.

Wachigabau Gold Property

The Property

The property is located 15 km northeast of the hamlet of Desmaraisville, 125 km northeast of the town of Lebel-sur-Quévillon and 225 km northeast of the city of Val-d’Or, Québec. Access to the property is possible by a series of old logging roads extending east from highway 113 and an abandoned rail bed that crosses the north side of the property. The property can also be accessed by boat from Lac Wachigabau and Opawica. The Wachigabau property is strategically located between the Lac Shortt gold mine to the northeast and the Coniagas zinc, lead and silver mine and the Bachelor Lake gold mine and mill complex to the southwest. These mines are all associated with the Lake Opawica-Gwillim fault system. The property currently consists of 359 claims covering an area of 14,578 hectares. Northern Superior is currently awaiting confirmation from Matamec Explorations Inc. that it has earned-in as a joint venture partner following expenditures from its winter exploration program.

Exploration Highlights

  • Re-negotiated Matamac agreement, Company now earns-in on all commodities.
  • Completed due diligence, recognized:
    a) Reported lode gold mineralization associated with quartz veining, values in drill hole intersections up to 5.39 g Au/ t over 2.4m , 10.3 g Au/ t over 0.3m and 10.1 g Au/ t 1.0 m;
    b) Reported quartz veins of up to 6” returning grab sample assay values of 138 oz Au/t and 450.5 oz Ag/ t and channel samples returning assay values of 3.52 oz Au/ t over 36” from historical stripping and trenching from northeast part of property;
    c) Remobilization of Cu-Au along continuous fracture systems, up to 2.62% Cu, 14 g Ag/ t and 3.14 g Au/ t over a 3.25 m drill hole intersection;
    d) Potential for volcanogenic Cu-Zn massive sulphide mineralization.
  • Completed drilling (4 holes, approximately 800 meters) and ground geophysics (approximately 57 line kilometers) to test an area of the property for gold mineralization, awaiting results from the geophysical survey.
  • Drilling intersects gold-bearing shear zones.
  • Company earns-in on joint venture agreement.
  • Diamond drill program planned for third quarter.

Thorne Lake Gold Property

The Property

The Thorne Lake property is located approximately 720 km northwest of Thunder Bay and 360 km northwest of Pickle Lake. The property is situated over a portion of the Ellard Lake greenstone belt, 15.5 kilometers west of the Sachigo River gold mine, a past producer (1938- 1943) that produced 52,560 ounces of gold from 46,416 tons of ore for an average grade of approximately 1.1 oz Au/ t (38.8 g Au/ t). The gold is hosted by quartz veins and west-trending shears in metavolcanic and intrusive rocks. The Ellard Lake greenstone belt is highly prospective for gold but to date has not been extensively explored. The property currently consists of 44 claims covering an area of 10,752 hectares. Northern Superior signed an option agreement with INV Metals Inc. in May of 2009.

Exploration Highlights

  • Signed agreement with Sachigo Lake First Nation in the fall of 2008.
  • Defined three gold grain-in-till dispersal trains, two of which consist of overburden samples with gold grain values as large, or larger, than those associated with the gold grain-in-till dispersal train extending down-ice from the Sachigo River gold mine, 15 km east of the property on the same geological structure.
  • Signed option agreement with INV Metals Inc.
  • Completed two phases of exploration, which lead to the:
    a) Discovery of four new gold showings;
    b) Discovery of four new gold exploration targets based on the concentration and distribution of gold grain values recovered from the 2009 overburden sampling program; and
    c) Discovery of gold-bearing shear structures.

Other Gold Properties

Northern Superior has an extensive geoscience database developed from previous exploration programs and compilation of publicly available data. From this data base the Company has staked three additional gold properties, two of these properties, Rapson Bay and Meston Lake, are both located in northwestern Ontario. The third property, Lespinay, is located in south-central Quebec. Potential joint venture partners are being approached to help develop these and other gold properties that the Company will identify from this data base.
