Company Notes:In January 2005 Brascan Corporation amalgamated with its publicly-traded subsidiary Brascan Financial Corporation (earlier known as Trilon Financial Corporation) through an arrangement whereby the subsidiary's preferred shareholders received new Class A preferred shares of Brascan Corporation in place of their shares. In July 2014 Brookfield Asset Management Inc. through Brookfield Property Partners L.P. acquired all issued and outstanding common shares of publicly-traded subsidiary Brookfield Office Properties Inc. that it did not already own. In March 2015 Brookfield Asset Management Inc. acquired all issued and outstanding common shares of publicly-traded subsidiary Brookfield Residential Properties Inc. that it did not already own. Brookfield Residential Properties Inc. had been formed as a result of the March 2011 merger of the business of Brookfield Homes Corporation with the residential land and housing division of Brookfield Office Properties Inc.
