Company Notes:In June 2007 predecessor company CTVglobemedia Inc. (earlier Bell Globemedia Inc.) completed the acquisition of CHUM Limited, which until the initial stage of the acquisition in October 2006 had been a publicly-traded company. The acquisition was completed following the approval of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission. In April 2011 BCE Inc. acquired a 100% interest in CTVglobemedia Inc. by acquiring the 40% interest held by The Woodbridge Company Limited, the 25% interest held by Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, and the 20% interest held by Torstar Corporation. BCE Inc. thereupon began to operate CTVglobemedia Inc. as its Bell Media business unit. As a result of the July 2013 acquisition of Astral Media Inc. by BCE Inc., the radio, television and specialty channel assets of Bell Media and Astral Media were brought together. In October 2007 Astral Media Inc. had acquired substantially all the assets of Standard Radio Inc., the major operating subsidiary of Standard Broadcasting Corporation Limited.
